Deborah Kaminetzky is the founding member of Kaminetzky & Associates, P.C. located in Cedarhurst, New York. Prior to starting the firm Ms. Kaminetzky was an associate at Weisman Law Group, P.C. where she primarily practiced matrimonial and family law. Deborah has also worked at the New York Department of Consumer Affairs where she was responsible for prosecuting unlicensed home improvement contractors and negotiating settlements for consumers.
Ms. Kaminetzky is a member of the American Bar Association (General Practice, Solo and Small firm Division and Law Practice Management Sections), New York State Bar Association (Estate, Family Law and General Practice Sections), Nassau County Bar Association (where she serves as Chair of the Technology and Practice management Committee, and is active in the Community Relations and Education Committee and Women in the Law committees) Great Neck Lawyers Association, Nassau County Women’s Bar Association.
Deborah serves on the Board of Directors of the Yashar Attorney and Judges Chapter of Hadassah as a Vice President, and was their Woman of the Year 2012. Deborah graduated from New York Law School in 1991 and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1986. Ms. Kaminetzky was admitted to the First Department in 1991, and The United States Supreme Court Bar in February of 2015.
Deborah is on the Matrimonial fee dispute arbitration panel for Nassau County. She is an experienced mediator, having completed a mediation certificate program in December of 2013, and an advanced mediation certificate program in December of 2015.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Kaminetzky served on the Architectural Control Committee of a Home Owners Association in Boca Raton while living in Florida, and was the president of a commercial property management corporation in the New York Metro area. Deborah has spoken to various groups on topics including matrimonial law, technology and social media use, and disaster preparedness for business.
Ayalah R. Jesselson, Esq.
Ayalah R. Jesselson is a senior associate at the law firm of Kaminetzky & Associates, P.C. where she focuses primarily on family and matrimonial law.
Ms. Jesselson is experienced in all matters of matrimonial and family law proceedings, including contested and uncontested divorces, custody and visitation proceedings, child support and family offense proceedings, obtaining and opposing requests for financial support and issues of equitable distribution.
She routinely appears in court to orally argue motions and hearings. She is well-versed in negotiating and settling matrimonial matters. If a resolution is not possible, she zealously represents and protects her clients’ rights and interests in hearings and trials.
Ms. Jesselson is experienced in all phases of pre-trial litigation including the preparation of Statements of Net Worth, discovery demands and responses, motions for interim relief, taking and defending depositions, and settlement conferences. She is also a certified arbitrator in matrimonial legal fee dispute cases, and was chosen as a Superlawyers Rising Star in 2014 and again in 2016.

Judy B. Sacks, Esq., Of Counsel
Judy B. Sacks, Esq. is of counsel to the law firm of Kaminetzky & Associates, P.C. where she practices in the area of trusts and estates law. Her experience primarily focuses on representing clients in various phases of estates and trusts law, including probate and administration proceedings, estate and trust administration, estate planning and drafting of wills, trust instruments, powers of attorney, health care directives and proxies as well as other related documents. She also has experience in purchases and sales of real estate as well as transactions involving closely held business entities.
Ms. Sacks is also of counsel to the law firm of Maidenbaum & Sternberg, LLP. Her previous experience includes practicing in New York City as an associate for the firms of Kurzman Karelsen & Frank; Haas, Greenstein, Hauser, Sims, Cohen & Gerstein; and Frankenthaler, Kohn & Schneider.
Ms. Sacks was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1986. She received her J.D. degree Cum Laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in June 1985, where she was an Associate Editor of the Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to law school, she studied social work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work, New York, NY from September 1981-June 1982. She received her BA degree Summa Cum Laude in June 1981 from Queens College of the City University of New York.
